Bicycle Trail in SArdinia
Over the past ten years the rediscovery of outdoor activities,
and the importance of the appreciation of the natural landscapes,
have placed to the fore the use of the bycicle as a means of transport
in a non-urban context, to become an instrument of mobility through
our spare time.
The new bycicle trail of Arborea, that extends itself for about
76 km., is ideal for lovers of nature, and is recommended for discovering
the beauty of the region.
The trail allows three routes along which it is possible to admire:
the immense countryside of Arborea, a preponderantly agricultural
territory; the protected natural oasis that lies behind the perimeters
of the camping grounds, inhabited by several species of protected
marshy birds such as: the Red Heron, the Fisher’s Martin,
and the Pink Flamingo’s; the coast of Arborea, that faces
the Gulf of Oristano, including the promontory from Cape San Marco
to Cape Frasca.
